Why is she still wearing her bib?
Hi, there! I just wanted to share a quick little anecdote that left Ben and I with major belly laughs this past weekend! 😂
Us moms wouldn't get anything done if we didn't offer distractions to our littles. You always feel like you struck gold when you pick something that holds their attention long enough for you to empty the dishwasher or change the bedding for the week! I've learned that one of those golden distractions for Waylin is taking laundry out of the basket (and there's always laundry sitting around, amiright? 😂). She will also proudly put clothes into the washer/dryer, but sometimes gets a liiiiiittle confused as to what is clean vs dirty aaaaaand somehow I'm doing an extra load of laundry AGAIN?! 😂 Still, I love that her little heart wants to help me! ❤️️
Ben and I started demoing our kitchen a couple days ago...I KNOW! We. are. crazy! (more on that in my next post). This will be our second kitchen remodel that we've done. #DIYtillweDIE Ben did the majority of the work, but there were times where I needed to help him.
LAUNDRY BASKET TO THE RESCUE!
I gave her clear instructions to fold all of my clothes before I went to the kitchen. She nodded her head as if she understood her "orders." In all but 5 minutes, that basket of clothes was thrown all over the living room...👖 Like, "Oh, let's just put these pants over here on Mr. Unicorn...and these socks 🧦 can go with my blocks because it rhymes." 😂 I don't mind!
Shortly after, Ben and I were done and realized she needed a diaper change 💩💩💩. Ben took her to her room to get the process started (it's totally a process at this age lol). I took my pants back from Mr. Unicorn and then walked into her room to change her diaper. Ben HAS changed a dirty diaper, but he says I do it better...🙄
He puts her up on the changing table (which is getting so small, BTW) as I'm grabbing a clean diaper. He says, "Why does she still have her bib on?" I look over and he's pulling it off of her. And he's looking really closely at it only to find out that she'd been wearing a pair of my underwear around her neck this entire time! 😂😂😂 OH LORD...lol. And of course, it's that old ratty ass pair that you keep telling yourself you'll throw away when another hole pops up...😀 Surprisingly, having your husband find your trusty "period panties" (ya'll ladies know what I'm talking about!) wasn't as embarrassing as I thought it would be! 😂 #marriagegoals
She gave us her perfectly timed "Dane Cook" laugh when we pulled it off her head. It's this obnoxiously cute "HAH HAH HAH" laugh that made us laugh even harder.
She's the best. Underwear scarf and all...❤️️
