Oh, Galentine!
We got our pictures back from Josephine Leonard Photography! They turned out great! You would have never known that she was a little ornery and hangry at the shoot!
Valentine's Day was pretty low key for us. I decided to cook an Italian-ish meal. Ben likes pasta and he rarely gets to have it, because I am not a big fan. I like pasta, but I don't like the way it makes me feel after I eat it. One trip to Olive Garden, and I have to unbutton my pants to breathe...😂 Maybe that's more of a self-control issue though...lol.
Our dinner was *almost all Aldi* products! I made chicken tortellini in a mushroom tomato sauce, a side of buttery garlic baby bella mushrooms, and baked a loaf of Italian bread in the oven. I topped it off with a sprinkle of freshly grated Asiago and Parmesan cheese.
Waylin had a fancy dinner as well! I found these super cute organic pasta shapes from The Pasta Shoppe at Meijer. I ran into the store to pick up pasta sauce, and these caught my eye! How could I not buy them?! The strange thing is...Waylin doesn't really like pasta! She won't even eat Mac & Cheese! {Something to ponder later: Is she human? Will her childhood be ruined if she doesn't consume large amounts of EasyMac? 😂} ANYWAYS, I've learned that you should keep trying to introduce different foods...so I'm not giving up!
She had the princess pasta, green beans, and garlic bread for her Valentine's Day dinner. I'm pretty sure she only ate the bread, because she picked up her plate and threw all the food on the floor...🤦♀️ #thanksgirl
Ben got her a beautiful bouquet of tulips and the cutest Elmo book for Valentine's Day! She also got a stuffed llama and a poodle puppy too! #spoiled
My SIL made her these adorable llama cookies! ❤️️ She also got some goodies from Grandma's house too!
She is so loved!
Here are a couple of photos from our Valentine's Day mini photoshoot!
We got back SO many photos, so it was hard to narrow it down to these ones for the blog!
We sadly put away our "Love Mailbox" last night, as Valentine's Day has passed. I am so happy we started this tradition! I had so much fun stuffing her mailbox each night with little notes and gifts. She "caught on" to the process pretty quickly, because she would point to the mailbox and start smiling every time she saw it. 💘
I love her heart and her beautiful soul!
We hope you had a great Valentine's Day too!
P.S. Here's a throwback to our Valentine's Day last year.
< insert typical "my god, where has time gone" comment here > 😂😂😂
But seriously...where does time go? 😂
