Sep 4 I’m a model, you know what I mean

Right Said Fred said it right! 🎵 Man, sometimes I think about how the 90s was such a majestic place. No one bat an eye when I sang (and moaned) “I’m too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt, soooo sexy, it hurtssss.” and “I shake my little tush on the catwalk.” Nowadays, you’re a menace if you bring anything with peanut butter to school. 🤣

Waylin had her first Picture Day! 😍 I think everyone rememebers at least one of their annual “Picture Days” when they were a kid. I specifically remember my 4th grade picture. In the early 90s, scrunchies were cool (and seriously, they have made a comeback in 2019). I laugh because scrunchies never left my book of cool. 🤣 My mum grabbed some hair on the side of my head and used a scrunchie to hold it together. Classic 1990s hairstyle for young kids; nothing wrong with that…UNTIL I DECIDED I WOULD LOOK COOLER IF I FLIPPED IT THE OTHER WAY. The photographer actually stopped what he was doing and flipped it back to normal. As soon as he turned his back…I flipped it. 💁‍♀️

Folks, I am here to tell you that I * did not * look cooler. I remember my mum opening up the envelope of pictures and saying “What happened to your hair?” Any ounce of cool immediately deflated from my body. I lied to her and told her the photographer changed my hair. 🤣

Surprisingly, I thought I would be one of those maniac moms that plans an outfit like 4 weeks in advance. Don’t get my wrong, I plan outfits even further out! 😂 But, I decided the morning of that she was going to wear her beloved chicken dress with her Minnetonka moccasins that Grandma got her. She looked beautiful, but honestly…she would have look beautiful even if it was HER with the flipped over hairstyle. ❤

You know how I told you earlier that I always ask myself “Would this exist in Hell?” Well, this morning I asked myself that when I was standing on the sideline watching a photographer pose 15+ toddlers all together for a class photo! MY GOD! One kid is facing backwards, while another is picking her nose and looking at the sky. But there sat my most beautiful creation…in criss cross applesauce (which is hard to learn, BTW). She sat in the very front, smiling at the camera while the rest of the zoo was being detained. I was such a proud mama!

The photographer was just a girl at the daycare with a fancier-than-iPhone camera, so the pictures didn’t turn out very well. In fact, her class picture was supposed to be an extra $8, but they gave it to us for free because…it was that terrible. 🤣 Hey, I didn’t mind. The money went towards fundraising for the daycare!

LOL, she was O V E R smiling at that point. At least, I thought she was! Once we were done with her photos, we started walking towards the car. I noticed the photographer had her other backgrounds and props laid out, sooooo we snuck some iPhone pictures when she was busy, and honestly…they turned out better! Suck it, Android people! 💪

This little miss muffit was truly a little miss muffit. 🕷 Ever since Way was a baby, I’ve always thought she had really good eyesight. I’m talking better than 20/20; more like 100/100. When she was younger, she used to pick up every little piece of dirt laying on the carpet and hand it to me. 😂 And yes, I constantly felt like I should be a better mom and vacuum more often. 🤦‍♀️

The tiniest spider was trickling down from the trees when I snapped this picture. I don’t know how she saw it. I know my 0/20’s wouldn’t have been able to see it. I only knew there was a spider because I recognize that facial expression when it comes to spiders, bugs, and seeing really tiny things. 👀

After a morning of “modeling”, I took her to Grandma’s house and headed to work. I posted the miss muffit picture of her, because it was too adorable to not share. What surprised me was, Minnetonka Moccasin company reached out to me when they saw my picture and asked if they could use it for their advertising! Again, SUCK IT ANDROID LOSERS! 🤳

I was freaking out! Everyone always thinks their baby is a “model baby.” But my girl could do her little turn on the catwalk! 😂 Okay, maybe she would tippy-toe run down it, but dang it. She’s model material.
